shotwell: a digital photo organizer designed for the GNOME desktop environment.

Pros: intuitive, easy to use.

Cons: crashes all the time, slow (>10 000 pictures), written in vala, an obscure pseudo-C language, which makes it ponderous to fix bugs. (Are they in the compiler or code?)

Alternatives: darktable, geeqie, digikam, etc., file-system browser.

Why do I use it? Simple to use and navigate. Would I like to change? Yes.
