kdenlive: a free open-source video editor, which supports DV, AVCHD and HDV editing.

Pros: stable (occasional crash), does what it's supposed to do, easy for an amateur.

Cons: OpenBSD 6.3's version doesn't have colour correction.

Alternatives: lives…? (Crashes immediately.)

I know very little about videography. It works for me.
