Originally supposed to start journey today. Rescheduled to following day due to reports of poor weather on site.
Picked up bag (delayed one day in Rome) from airport.
Afternoon news from site is not comforting. Conditions not as expected: tents (no cabins), many insects, etc. Blitzed sporting gear store for mosquito nets, thermal layers, dry bags. (And toilet paper—a necessity for any travel afield.)
Walk through Khabarovsk, dallying in the City Park of Culture and Leisure around the stadium.
